Amy Diesburg-Stanwood, D.N.P., F.N.P.-B.C., started her career as an endocrine nurse practitioner in 2004, where she developed a passion for teaching along the way. She’s worked for the VA and a large endocrinology practice, and she maintains her full-time nurse practitioner career while working as a clinical instructor with UND.
Diesburg-Stanwood graduated with her Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree and her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2004 from the University of Colorado. She also earned her bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Medicine from Colorado State University, where she was a Division 1 basketball player. In 2017, she moved to from Colorado to Minneapolis with her husband and two children, where she now works for the VA Medical Center.
