Dr. Katherine Campbell is the Kulas Koppenhaver Faculty Endowed Professor of Accountancy at the University of North Dakota.  Prior to joining the faculty at the University of North Dakota, she held faculty positions at the University of Connecticut and the University of Maryland and the Norwegian School of Management (BI).  Her accounting education includes a Ph.D. from the University of Washington, a master’s degree from George Mason University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.

Dr. Campbell’s research includes financial empirical work that has been published in journals including the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and the Journal of Computer Security.  In addition, she has written cases and was nationally recognized with the 2017 Outstanding Instructional Contribution in Accounting award from the Teaching Learning and Curriculum Section of the American Accounting Association.
