Xiaoli Guo, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor

Xiaoli Guo, Ph.D., was raised in the Central part of China, close to the Yangtze River. Guo earned both her Bachelor of Management with a concentration in Accounting and Master of Accountancy in China. Later, she made her way to the U.S. to pursue a Master of Economics at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. After completing her degree, she moved to Minnesota where she worked toward a Ph.D. of Business Administration in the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
Guo joined in UND in August 2019. Her research interests include financial information quality, voluntary disclosure, corporate governance and auditing. She has two years of teaching experience in Microeconomics and one year in Financial Accounting. Now she is interested in teaching accounting information systems and data analytics.
When she is not working, she likes fishing, reading, gardening and yoga.
